So in this case, Kalamas, don’t go by reports, by legends, by traditions, by scripture, by logical conjecture, by inference, by analogies, by agreement through pondering views, by probability, or by the thought, ‘This contemplative is our teacher.’ When you know for yourselves that, ‘These qualities are unskillful; these qualities are blameworthy; these qualities are criticized by the wise; these qualities, when adopted & carried out, lead to harm & to suffering’ — then you should abandon them. Rest and Referral

Before you engage in any intensive self-healing program we recommend rest.  However, consult your doctor before you come to us.  We would be remiss if we even attempted to replace the consult of a licensed medical practitioner from your home state.

How to Evaluate Our Program

The easiest way to evaluate our guidance is to compare it with others you can trust and a public body of work.  Our number one examples are ourselves.  Our founder and partners have traveled so many healing roads, valleys, swamps, and pits many dizzy at the sheer volume, much less the depth of experience and despair transmuted to joy.

Exercise

Once you have obtained your own medical advice you are then free to assess our recommendations in support of it.  We offer simple yoga asanas, apps, and programs supplemented by referrals to trained professionals who can give you more personalized guidance where necessary.

Diet

Just like exercise above, we will sometimes refer you to programs and professionals to assist your recovery.  These diets may be Ayurvedic or programs such as the such as the Autoimmune Paleo (AIP).  Always get multiple views of those you trust.

Elimination

What you take in is as important as what you put out.  So watch what you eat and watch what you poop!  There, we said, it, “poop!”  Get it out there right in front instead of behind.  We may ask you periodically what the consistency of your bowel movements are.  This allows you to assess whether you are eating the right food and how well you are utilizing it.  Operational efficiency is key for any system.
