The Medical-Industrial Complex
Drug Business Peddling Garbage
Pharmaceutical companies around the world are trying to monetize health. What this means is that the profit motive has superseded their alleged mission to provide cost-effective healing that contributes to the public good. In the New York Times, (Harris, 2009) the paper discusses how these companies have crossed the line in indirectly paying doctors to prescribe their drugs.
Even worse, they fish the patent office for drugs that they can make minor changes to and patent. Once this patenting is done, they can sell the drug without competition for several years. Naturally the patented drugs sell at a premium. What we create is an industry that thrives on higher prices for no improvement in healthcare.
Why I started in natural healing is that illness has been around as long as humans have been at war with ourselves and our environment. What this means, is that when one lives in harmony with mind, body, and intellect we align with the universe. When we align with the forces of nature, we remain healthy longer.
In plain English, healing is your birthright, and health your natural state. Any healing modality that I synthesize or create can be learned and taught. You are the number one stakeholder in your own health. So when you hear the buzzwords about universal healthcare and about how the medical-industrial complex seeks to help you, think twice.
THE WESTERN MEDICAL JUGGERNAUT PROFITS WHEN YOU ARE KEPT SICK FOR AS LONG AS POSSIBLE.
My health philosophy and regimes may seem simple to some, and insurmountable to others. But this I can promise, as Louse Hay always says, “You can heal your life.” Do not ever believe that you were born in sickness to suffer. You are a child of a divine universe that always welcomes you home. Happy or Sad, we all love you.
