Heal with the Heart
Something I see arises in myself and in all who embark on the path of healing. At some point
in the process we feel sheer self-loathing and agony. We are trapped in an endless cycle of obsession and abuse. These Second Chakra issues burn off of the chart. The easiest way to understand this is to watch our relationships to ourselves, each other, and finally our community.
We are trapped in Romeo and Juliet obsessive, posessive love. We swing wildly between the sacred and the profane. What this means is that we vacillate between feeling the object of our desire is the greatest thing in the world to the worst. Or we ourselves are the object of this desire or wrath. THERE IS ANOTHER WAY.
STEP 1 ARREST THE DISEASE
1. Stop overburning the Third Chakra. Thinking more about this problem is not going to help. This overuse of mental energy leads to our current conundrum, including heartburn, acidity, and wrath.
STEP 2 RECOGNIZE THE USES OF ADVERSITY
2. Recognizing these passions is they key. Know that you have a fire of passion in your belly (Chakra Two), and it is a good thing. This is what the mystery schools call the baptism of fire.
STEP 3 JUMPSTART YOUR HEART
3. Feel with your Fourth Chakra and your Heart.
This last step, or the way of love as it has been often termed is usually the hardest. And here is where my methods differ.
Know this, you are made perfect with your flaws. In fact, it is these flaws that make you human and the most special being in the unverse. Learning how to use your shadow is to truly integrate the light into your lives.
DEVOTION, THE TOOL FOR THE DAY.
1. Choose an object of beauty. Start simple, a rose, a small child, a puppy.
2. Think about every wonderful thing you can. The dew on the petals. The gleam in a child’s eyes. A cold wet nose.
3. Remember that feeling at all times.
This is the first step in the path of Bhakti Yoga, Devotion. And to this I devote myself today. (Conscious Choice)
Hari Om.
